ASU football was ranked No. 15 the 2015 AP Preseason Top 25 poll released Sunday, four spots higher than the Sun Devils opened last year.
After falling to Arizona 42-35 in the Territorial Cup in the final week of the regular season, ASU finished 10-3 last season and defeated the Duke Blue Devils in the Sun Bowl 36-31
The Sun Devils are one of six Pac-12 teams ranked in the poll: Also checking in were defending conference champion No. 7 Oregon, No. 8 USC (the favorite in both the Pac-12 professional and student media polls), No. 13 UCLA, No. 21 Stanford, and defending Pac-12 South champion No. 22 Arizona.

Of the five, ASU plays just one ranked Pac-12 team on the road: UCLA on Oct. 3.
ASU's week one opponent, Texas A&M received 61 votes but will begin the season unranked. The SEC led the polls with eight teams represented.
Ohio State was unanimously voted No. 1, the first time this has happened in the history of the poll.
