The official 2015-16 ASU hockey roster was announced Wednesday, revealing which players will be joining the Sun Devils at the NCAA level.
In addition to the 13 returning players to Sun Devil Hockey, ASU will be adding 17 new recruits.

No. 11 – Jack Rowe
Year: Freshman
Position: Forward
6-foot-1, 190 pounds
2014-15 team: Muskegon/Des Moines – USHL
2014-15 statistics: 22 points (nine goals, 12 assists) in 47 games
Powers' take: “Jack has a real opportunity to be a high-level, impact player for our program from the minute he steps on campus. He plays a well-rounded game and will be counted on in all situations here at ASU to help us build a solid foundation.”
No. 27 – Louie Rowe
Year: Freshman
Position: Forward
6-foot-6, 235 pounds
2014-15: team: Omaha – USHL
2014-15 statistics: 33 points (14 goals, 19 assists) in 53 games
Powers' take: “Louie brings an infectious attitude and work ethic that will quickly establish himself as a leader with Sun Devil Hockey. His size, and determination to be the best at what he does will make him an impact player for us immediately.”
No. 37 – Charlie Zuccarini
Year: Freshman
Position: Forward
5-foot-7, 175 pounds
2014-15 team: Trail – BCHL
2014-15 statistics: 57 points (27 goals, 30 assists) in 45 games
Powers' take: “Charlie has speed to burn and can flat out score goals. I’m excited to see him in a Sun Devil jersey do his thing.”
No. 17 – Jordan Masters

2014-15 statistics: 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) in 31 games
Powers' take: “Jordan is a high-level talent that really re-discovered his game in the BCHL. He will have an impactful role with us from day one.”
No. 19 – Matt Kennedy
Year: Freshman
Position: Forward
5-foot-11, 185 pounds
2014-15 team: Victoria – BCHL
2014-15 statistics: 53 points (20 goals, 33 assists) in 50 games
Powers' take: “Matt plays a full 200-foot game and uses his skating ability to his advantage. He is a player who makes everyone around him better and I expect him to have a huge impact immediately at ASU.”
No. 9 – Ryan Stevens
Year: Freshman
Position: Forward
6-foot-3, 195 pounds
2014-15 team: Dubuque – USHL
2014-15 statistics: 4 points (two goals, two assists) in 20 games
Powers' take: “Ryan has a chance to become a very special player for us. His USHL year was cut short by injury but seeing Ryan play he was a player I had to have. I’m excited to see his development as a Sun Devil.”
No. 8 – Joe Lappin
Year: Freshman
Position: Forward

2014-15 team: Lincoln/Des Moines – USHL
2014-15 statistics: 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) in 44 games

Powers' take: “Jake is a very gifted player we are fortunate to have at ASU. With him having to redshirt the entire 15-16 season we will focus on getting him bigger and stronger so he can make a huge impact in 16-17.”
No. 94 – Cody Gylling
Year: Freshman
Position: Forward

2014-15 team: Amarillo – NAHL
2014-15 statistics: 47 points (27 goals, 20 assists) in 50 games
Powers' take: “Cody is as offensively gifted of a player as it gets. His upside is tremendous and being a local player coming back home to play at ASU is an outstanding accomplishment. Cody has a chance to be an elite talent for us.”
No. 68 – Anthony Croston
Year: Freshman
Position: Forward
6-foot-0, 190 pounds
2014-15 team: Rio Grande – NAHL
2014-15 statistics: 41 points (13 goals, 28 assists) in 58 games
Powers' take: “Anthony is a very good skating center man that plays a very good 200-foot game and is incredibly responsible in his own zone. He has natural leadership qualities that are going to make him a great Sun Devil for four years.”
No. 24 – Liam McGing
Year: Freshman
Position: Defenseman
5-foot-11, 190 pounds
2014-15 team: Muskegon/Des Moines USHL
2014-15 statistics: 5 points (two goals, three assists) in 52 games
Powers' take: “Liam is a prototypical shut-down defenseman. He will be leaned on heavily to solidify our back end as a responsible, defensive minded defenseman. Liam thinks the game at a very high level and will be an outstanding player for us for four years at ASU.”
No. 44 – Joey Raats
Year: Freshman
Position: Defenseman
6-foot-0, 185 pounds
2014-15 team: Sioux Falls – USHL
2014-15 statistics: 13 points (one goal, 12 assists) in 51 games
Powers' take: “Joey is a smooth-skating defenseman that we are thrilled to have. He has been well-coached and it shows. Joey will be a major building block for us.”
No. 22 – Jake Clifford
Year: Freshman
Position: Defenseman
6-foot-1 200 pounds
2014-15 team: Merritt – BCHL
2014-15 statistics: 27 points (eight goals, 19 assists) in 53 games
Powers' take: “Jake is a big, strong skating, physical defenseman who always makes solid first pass out of the zone. His presence on our back end will be a welcomed addition to Sun Devil Hockey.”
No. 47 – Nicholas Gushue
Year: Freshman
Position: Defenseman
6-foot-4. 210 pounds
2014-15 team: Nanaimo – BCHL
2014-15 statistics: 45 points (13 goals, 32 assists) in 72 games
Powers' take: “Nick give us that big, physical presence we are going to need to compete at the NCAA level. He is experienced and also a very well rounded, smart and strong skating defenseman. Nick will be an integral piece to the foundation here at ASU.”
No. 5 – Brock Krygier
Year: Graduate
Position: Defenseman
6-foot-0, 190 pounds
2014-15 team: Michigan State – Big Ten
2014-15 statistics: 6 points (six assists) in 58 games
Powers' take: “Brock has great Division I experience we can draw on and is a natural leader both on and off the ice. We are thrilled to have such a model student athlete a part of our program.”
No. 31 – Ryland Pashovitz
Year: Freshman
Position: Goalie
5-foot-11, 180 pounds
2014-15 team: Des Moines – USHL
2014-15 statistics: 13-9-5, 2.91 GAA, .905 save percentage in 27 games
Powers' take: “Ryland is a tremendously gifted goaltender and tireless worker. He has an opportunity to be a very special player here at ASU over the next four years and is the type of goaltender that can steal games for us.”
No. 33 – David Jacobson (committed April 1)
Year: Freshman
Position: Goalie
6-foot-2, 185 pounds
2014-15 team: Chilliwack – USHL
2014-15 statistics: 18-8, 2.64 GAA, .91 save percentage in 26 games
Powers' take: “David is a big, hard-working goalie that will provide us the serious depth you need at the most important position. His experience will give us even more confidence in our goaltending.”
