We live in an age where the limits of technology are almost nonexistent. The combination of the constant progression of electronic devices and the expanding creativity of human minds has presented our generation with an endless amount of opportunity to innovate and form new ideas.
The people of the Laptop Orchestra of ASU (LOrkAS) fit into the "innovative" category, without a doubt. Although LOrkAS isn't the first laptop orchestra, it was until recently, the first student-only laptop orchestra. Without any classes offered and a lack of funding, LOrkAS members have been forced to think outside the box and push the boundaries of "what can be done" by using the laptop as an ensemble instrument.
