The ASU football team’s Gerald Munns was rewarded for his strong performance against Stanford, as he was named Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

ASU coach Dennis Erickson said he was happy with the way his No. 15 Sun Devil football team played Saturday against Stanford.

But it looks like ASU fans might have a new chant: underrated.

Even after a strong first game against NAU last weekend, one element of the ASU football team was still criticized: the rushing attack.

It was generally believed that Stanford would be the surprise team to come out of the Pac-10 Conference this season.
